On Sunday, July 27, 2003 America lost Bob Hope.
Being a retired member of the U.S. Armed Forces, he meant a great deal to myself
and all my fellow military members for some 60 years back!
I had the pleasure of staying in the Hope Hotel at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio several times.
That is the only military facility named after a living non-military person.
He was made a honorary U.S. Veteran in 1997 by the U.S. Congress.
Being the only person to receive the honor to this day,
he was quoted as saying it was his greatest honor to be numbered with us.
He now has a major Air Force aircraft and a naval ship named in his honor.
On the next few pages will be a few photos, cartoons, and sounds to help keep the
memory alive as we share thoughts of one of the greatest Naturalized Citizens
this country was ever blessed with.
Thanks for the Memories, Bob
